Client Account Manager

This role supports company operations by completing all tasks assigned. This includes strategic and general account management functions and customer service.
Duties include:

  • Resolving customer issues by understanding customer needs and communicating effectively with impacted parties (carrier, internal team & client team).
  • Maintaining working knowledge of customer needs and issues.
  • Managing the end to end process for customer interactions and managing carrier relationships for day to day customer issue resolutions.
  • Keeping management informed of key customer or carrier issues.
  • Hosting conference calls to address customer needs.

Candidates must:

  • Have 5 years + experience with medical insurance carriers.

401(k) Relationship Manager

We are currently searching for a 401(k) Manager to join our Team.
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Proactive utilization monitoring and review for assigned cases.
  • Quarterly presentation to clients on financial performance of the fund options.
  • Strong Presentation skills.

Financial Analyst

This role will consist of financial review of insurance terms, conditions and market competitiveness as well as preparation of all Requests for Proposals from the marketplace and renewal evaluations for assigned clients. This role will report to the Assistant Vice President of Underwriting and predominately focuses on client management support and new business financial evaluations.
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Proactive financial monitoring and review of assigned cases
  • Creation of monthly financial reporting packages including detailed premium, claims, membership, commission and cash reconciliation information.
  • Assist in creating weekly, monthly and quarterly financial statements and projections.
  • New business financial evaluations as needed by sales team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into a customer friendly format.
  • Strong understanding of Excel and PowerPoint are required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Insurance preferred.

Senior Underwriter

We are looking for a candidate who is a strategic, seasoned health insurance professional that has significant experience working with national accounts, 1000 lives. The Group Underwriter is accountable for analyzing and reviewing group life, disability and health benefits.
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Review group renewals and plan changes on in force business.
  • Prepare quotations on new business in context with financial and marketing objectives.
  • Work closely with PGB Client Management professionals as needed to meet growth, profitability and client satisfaction objectives.
  • Prepare new quotations through negotiations with carriers, third party administrators and other vendors.
  • Report underwriting issues to the AVP of Underwriting
  • Underwrite international health insurance business within the agreed underwriting requirements to ensure the profitability of the account and to achieve a consistent loss ratio target.
  • Devise and document appropriate underwriting practices, prepare policy wordings, as well as other documentation and technical claims mandates outlining practices.
  • Contribute to the design of new healthcare products and monitor their effectiveness and amend as necessary.
  • Co‐ordinate the premium and claims production practice.
  • Analyze and report on the underwriting performance of the business and make recommendations to achieve/maintain profitability.
  • Keep up to date with changes in law or requirements of any regulatory body that may affect the conduct of the business. Recommend changes as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and decision making of any third party supplier that may affect underwriting performance.
  • Maintain an awareness of the marketplace and competitor activity as well as products and pricing in particular.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Insurance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3‐5 years underwriting experience required with Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability, National accounts, 1000 + lives.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of coordinating common practices, processes and templates across an internal structure.
  • Proven track record of coordinating the review and presentation of product rating changes to clients.
  • Experience in leading and developing staff.

Commercial Account Manager - Property & Casualty

The Commercial Lines Account Manager performs essential functions which include assisting Account Executives and clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. Specific service and marketing responsibilities are required in this position as well as performing to the service standards developed by the organization.
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support to Account Executives specifically analyzing client’s needs, coverage forms and quotations.
  • Schedule appointments with clients as requested by Account Executives.
  • Accompany Account Executives on prospect and client meetings as requested.
  • Complete applications in coordination with Account Executives and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
  • Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items and verify accuracy, forward to client with appropriate correspondence.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules of proposals.
  • Process renewals in coordination with Account Executives according to organizational procedures.
  • Occasionally take lead in renewal meetings with clients, including strategy determination and marketing.
  • Review audit of policies, verify accuracy and facilitate corrections as needed between client and carrier.
  • Process incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
  • Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with Account Executive.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
  • New York Property and Casualty Producers License
  • Ability to analyze complex insurance situations, needs and options and communicate these both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand written and oral communication and interpret abstract information.
  • Advance knowledge of insurance products and usages.
  • Advance knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
  • Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures.
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take lead on all elements of client servicing when necessary.
  • Strong Computer skills and familiarity with Outlook, Excel and Word.

IT Interns

IT Interns will perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing on a newly developed web application. Create and map test cases in support of the system requirements and prepare the associated detailed test scripts to help ensure systems operate appropriately. Responsible for executing test scripts and documenting all defects encountered. Work with the in house project management team to help resolve and test all repaired defects for the system prior to Go Live Launch.

 

  • Test software to ensure products meet design specifications and functionality requested by users.
  • Work closely with development, business and project management teams to complete requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and execute manual test cases, test scenarios and test plans.
  • Tester should possess good knowledge of the business after training with various business teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and “test to break” attitude.
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well individually as well as with a team.
  • Must be versed in Windows OS, and MS Office Applications (Excel, Word).

 

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in accredited college or University working towards a degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management.

Must have own Laptop to use for testing
