Raymond (Ray) Luong, Vice President, Underwriting is responsible for strategic analysis of cost containment for new and existing customers, providing financial review and analysis on renewal development, benefit plan changes and new business proposals. Ray is an insurance professional with 29 years of experience as an underwriting professional specializing in both renewal and new business development and financial analysis. He has also dedicated time to the budget process and is an expert in the health benefits market. Ray leads the underwriting team at PGB to provide their customers with competitive analysis of their renewals and new business proposals, while keeping their benefit designs up to date with market standards. His ultimate goals is to provide guidance to PGB clients to implement the most cost effective plan designs to fit their market and budget needs. Prior to joining Paul Global Benefits, Ray held the position of Underwriter Leader/Director for EmblemHealth, a market leader in delivering competitive medical products in New York State. Ray earned his BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Stony Brook University. Paula Dank, AVP, Underwriting is responsible for providing new and existing customers with financial support for renewals, plan changes and new business proposals. She is an insurance professional with over 25 years of experience as a financial analyst specializing in contract profitability, business drivers, and underwriting. Paula partners with the PGB Consultants and Sales Force to provide PGB customers with competitive rates and plan designs that best suit their budgets and benefit goals. Prior to joining Paul Global Benefits, she held the position of Vice President Underwriting for Davis Vision, a national managed vision care administrator and provider. In the July 2011 edition of Vision Monday she was named one of 2011’s Most Influential Women in Optical, Executive Suite. Paula earned a BA from George Washington University and has completed additional coursework at Hofstra University. As the AVP, Head of Client Services, Anand works with clients to maintain their employee health and wellness programs. Anand is an experienced health insurance professional and has worked with various large and complex international health and wellness benefit programs. Anand provides input on product development areas to ensure competitive products and services. He prepares required and special market specific reports with clients’ insurance carriers. He also provides communication strategies, while working in conjunction with the clients’ carriers, to ensure members are well informed about their benefit programs. Anand is dedicated to developing strong external and internal relationships in order to achieve customer satisfaction and objectives. Prior to joining PGB, Anand was an Account Manager with one of the largest international carriers and managed a book of business portfolio valued close to $400 million. Anand holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management from Charter Oak State College, CT and an Associate degree in Information Technology from Lehigh Carbon Community College, PA.
